For some, giving up alcohol to increase chances of conception hits hardest come the quitting-time cocktail hour. This concoction can help satisfy the craving for that winding down drink, while boosting antioxidants, vitamin C and the sleep-regulting serotonin cousin, melatonin.
Vg – GF – SF – HA (vegan, gluten-free, soy-free, high-antioxidant)
3/4 cup/180ml sparkling water
2 oz./60ml tart cherry juice
3-6 drops Angostura bitters
Combine sparkling water, tart cherry juice and bitters in a serving pitcher, adjusting bitters to taste. Pour over ice into tall cocktail glasses. Serve with lime wedge. Makes 2 servings.
* Note: Angostura bitters are not alcohol free; however, only a few drops are used so the amount of alcohol in this mocktail is less than a trace.
